The Spruce Budworm Information Session was held on April 30, 2026 and hosted by Keeping Maine’s Forests. The session focused on the history of spruce budworm and previous management strategies in Maine, spruce budworm biology and monitoring, 2025 recap of the Early Intervention Strategy (EIS) approach used for additive mortality in areas with rising spruce budworm populations, and the continuation of the EIS program with the addition of small landowners in 2026.
